Rex Hospital's surgical services have long been the #1 choice for surgery in Wake County - performing more than 28,000 procedures last year. With a growing population in western Wake County, the need for additional surgical services was deemed necessary and Rex opened its doors in Cary in July, 2003.
The opening of Rex Surgery Center of Cary has enabled patients receiving outpatient surgeries in gynecology, plastic surgery, ENT, orthopaedics and other more general clinical areas the ability to receive these services in a state-of-the-art facility close to where they live and work.
Quality is at the heart of every procedure perfomed in Cary. Rex Surgery Center of Cary recently received a Five Star Performer Award for best overall quality of care by Professional Research Consultants (PRC), a nationally recognized healthcare ratings organization, for its shining achievements in cleanliness, minimal wait times, customer service and staff expertise.
This 67,000 square foot medical complex offers numerous amenities to both patients and physicians. The waiting area overlooks a pond and includes a children's activity area as well as special seating for our business-minded guests.
Services at Rex Surgery Center of Cary range from pulse dye laser treatment for plantar warts to select orthopaedic procedures. Physicians at Rex Surgery Center of Cary utilize regional anesthesia to assist patients with pain control. PACS (picture archiving communication system) enables physicians the fast delivery of images to their home or office, which means faster results for patients.
